One thing that troubles me is the apparent underlying assumption that he seems to be making. That is that a ‘job’ is something to which we have some sort of right. As someone who has employed people in the past, and hopes to employ people in the future, I have found there is often a great deal of confusion about ‘ownership’ of a job.

I don’t think you really grasp the concept of political parties and the American election process very well. If you’re not a member of a particular party, why should you be involved in helping to nominate their candidate?

We’ve managed to engineer a very self-absorbed, intellectually lazy society that glorifies idiotic sound-byte mentalities and marginalizes intellectuals. That recipe is great for doing mass hypnosis and allowing a few self-appointed ‘leaders’ to march the herd off to slaughter.
